Jon Davis 1998 Lannan Literary Award for Poetry
Jon Davis has published six collection of poetry, including Preliminary Report (2010) and Scrimmage of Appetite (1995). His awards include two NEA Fellowships, the G.E. Younger Writers Award, The Lavan Award from the Academy of American Poets, a fellowship to The Fine Arts Work Center, and a Lannan Literary Award. He has served as Writing Program Coordinator for The Fine Arts Work Center, edited the literary journals Shankpainter and Countermeasures: A Magazine of Poetry & Ideas, and taught at the University of Montana, College of Santa Fe, and Salisbury University. Since 1990, he has been a member of the Creative Writing faculty at the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) in Santa Fe.
