James Galvin 2002 Lannan Literary Fellowship for Poetry
James Galvin was raised in northern Colorado. His collections of poetry include Resurrection Update, Lethal Frequencies, Imaginary Timber, God’s Mistress, and Elements. He is also the author of The Meadow, which, Jim Harrison said, is “a unique and extraordinary book, a mixture of novel and natural history wherein Galvin reinvents the form, the true mark of a genuine artist.” Mr. Galvin lives in Wyoming and teaches each year at the University of Iowa’s Writers’ Workshop.
