Jamaica Kincaid 1999 Lannan Literary Award for Fiction
Jamaica Kincaid is an Antiguan-American novelist, essayist, gardener, and gardening writer. She has published five novels including most recently See Now Then (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 2013) and five works of nonfiction. In addition, innumerable uncollected stories and essays have been published widely in The New Yorker, The New York Times Book Review, Conjunctions, Rolling Stone, Grand Street, and elsewhere. She lives in North Bennington, VT, during the summers and teaches at Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, CA, as well as at Harvard, during the academic year.Additional Jamaica Kincaid information and links.
