Czeslaw Milosz

Czeslaw Milosz, born in Lithuania in 1911, received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1980. Mr. Milosz worked for the Resistance in Warsaw during World War II, editing anti-Nazi books and pamphlets. He has published 21 books of poetry since his first, A Poem on Frozen Time, appeared in 1933.
