Philip Levine is known for his original style and voice. Readers of American poetry recognize him as the preeminent American poet living and writing in the U.S. Among his many awards are the Ruth Lilly Poetry Prize (1987), a National Book Award for Poetry (1991), the Los Angeles Times Book Award for Poetry (1991), and the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry (1995).

Kate Daniels, Director of Creative Writing at Vanderbilt University, is the author of four books of poetry, including A Walk in Victoria's Secret. She has just completed Slow Fuse of the Possible: A Poet's Psychoanalysis, an inter-genre prose work that explores connections between psychoanalysis and poetry.
