The luminous surfaces of her solid geometric forms and drawings are rubbed and polished, allowing the viewer to see beyond the surface of the material. These graphite forms, transmuted into reductive, contemplative objects, are purposely set within the gallery to induce a formal and absolute perceptual experience for the viewer. The specificity of each of the artist’s installations creates a numinous state of quiet, resonant beauty. This work represents the continuing evolution of Minimalism among a younger generation of American artists.
