Sharifa Rhodes-Pitts is a journalist and essayist whose work has appeared in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Africana.com, The Nation, TRACE, and Tansition Magazine, among others. Her book Harlem is Nowhere: A Journey to the Mecca of Black America is forthcoming from Little, Brown.
She lives in New York City.
