John Stauffer

John Stauffer is a leading authority on antislavery, social protest movements, and interracial relations. His books include Giants: The Parallel Lives of Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln and The Black Hearts of Men: Radical Abolitionists and the Transformation of Race. Stauffer is a professor of American Civilization and African American Studies at Harvard University.
