Joel Lovell

Joel Lovell is deputy editor at The New York Times Magazine where his story on George Saunders was a cover feature in early 2013. Prior to joining The New York Times, Lovell wrote a column for GQ called “Men + Money,” described as “an angry little wound of class anxiety amid the men’s magazines’ celebrations of four-figure shoes…” He has also written for the radio program This American Life with stories on subjects such as taxation, the fear of sleep, and working in a mental institution.
