Jill McDonough is the author of the poetry collections Here All Night (Alice James Books, 2019); Reaper (Alice James, 2017); Where You Live (Salt, 2012); Habeas Corpus (Salt, 2008); and the chapbook Oh, James! (2012).

She has received three Pushcart Prizes and is the recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Fine Arts Work Center, the New York Public Library, the Library of Congress, and Stanford’s Stegner program. McDonough taught incarcerated college students through Boston University’s Prison Education Program for thirteen years. She teaches in the MFA program at UMass-Boston.
