Erika Wanenmacher

Erika Wanenmacher is an artist who lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico. A self-described “Culture Witch,” she channels her own beliefs about the spirit world, goddesses, magic, and spells into maverick, multimedia art pieces.
Wanenmacher was born in Ohio in 1955. She attended both the Kansas City Art Institute and the Feminist Studio Workshop in Los Angeles. Her work has been part of exhibitions at the Contemporary Art Museum in St. Louis, Missouri, SITE Santa Fe, and Claire Oliver Fine Arts in New York, among others. Wanenmacher’s work is also part of the collections of the Albright-Knox Museum of Art in Buffalo, the Fisher Landau Center on Long Island, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Santa Fe.
